Tower Analysis with PLS-TOWER, taught from an engineer's perspective. You learn to model, check, and understand transmission towers, working through real structures rather than toy examples.

What this course is not

It is not a step by step recipe that hands you your country's code and lets you produce towers without thinking. It teaches you to understand the mechanics, so you can open any national annex and know what you are reading. A course that trains you to copy a code line by line is training you to be replaceable.

Which code do you teach, Eurocode or ASCE?

Both. The formula is the same shape everywhere. What changes country to country is the parameters, the wind, the ice, the national annex values. I teach the machinery so you can drop in your own numbers. Ice in Spain is not ice in Sweden, and definitely not in the UAE.

Do you cover my specific national code line by line?

Not in the main course, by design. If you need your specific code, your company's own towers, and your annex worked through in detail, that is what the corporate training is for (see Corporate training below).

Who is this course for?

Accepted Answer

Engineers who want to understand overhead line tower analysis: new graduates finding their feet, and mid-career engineers moving into the field. You do not need years of experience. You do need to be willing to think, not just follow steps.

Do I need a PLS-TOWER licence?

To follow along in the software, yes, you need access to PLS-TOWER. The course teaches the analysis and the reasoning. Some lessons and the reference material stand on their own, but the hands-on parts assume you can open the software.

How long do I have access?

Is there a free lesson I can try first?

Yes. The Family Manager lesson is free to watch, no purchase needed. It is a full lesson, so you can judge the teaching before you spend anything. Open it from the course page.

How much does it cost, and why is it in euros?

The individual course is € 750,00 + VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout (Stripe Tax). The price is in euros because the business is based in the Netherlands.

Is it expensive for my region?

The course is one price worldwide. If the cost is a barrier for you personally, the honest answer is that professional software training is usually an employer cost, not a personal one. This is a large industry, and if your company builds these structures, the cost of learning the tools belongs with them. See corporate training.

Can my company pay, or get an invoice?

Yes. Checkout collects billing details and can issue an invoice via Stripe. For company seats or a tailored corporate programme, email academy@pesadesign.com.

Can I get a refund?

Digital course access starts as soon as you pay. At checkout you confirm immediate delivery and that you lose the 14-day EU withdrawal right. After access is granted, the purchase is final under that statutory right.

Do you offer training for companies?

Yes. Corporate training is a separate format where I teach using your national code, your company's own towers, and your specific requirements, worked through in detail. I have delivered this to companies already. Contact academy@pesadesign.com.

How is corporate different from the individual course?

Accepted Answer

The individual course teaches you to think in any code. Corporate training is tailored: your annex, your structures, your team, in depth. It is the right route when a company needs its engineers trained on its own work.

What are the practical exercises?

Some modules include a Fault-Finder practical: you download a real tower modelled with deliberate mistakes and find what is wrong. It is how you prove you can actually read a model, not just watch one being built.
